For Football it’s common for tensions to go high on the field. Even it’s common for tensions to boil over b/W mates and result in the fight, particularly amid training camp.
Julian Edelman has been told to leave practice after starting a fight with CB Stephon Gilmore after an incomplete end-zone pass.

Indeed the defending champion Patriots are not safe. Patriots main palyer Julian Edelman got in somewhat of a piece with newcomer Stephon Gilmore at training Tuesday and the two players were tossed not representing the cause very well by Bill Belichick, according to several reporters.
Julian Edelman and Stephon Gilmore had the long lonely walk off the practice field after a spirited scrap in which both players lost helmets

Gilmore is Patriots rival. He spent the first 5 years of his career being a member of the Buffalo Bills, where he squared up with the Patriots twice in a year. That most likely didn’t factor into his candid discussion with Edelman (here and there long-term partners duke it out at training, as well), and we can presumably accept that nothing about this will wait into the season. This stuff simply happens.
It has happened with the Patriots before. Belichick kicked Malcolm Butler out of a between squad rehearse with the Bears a year ago to fight with Alshon Jeffery.
