President Trump did a special election tally on Twitter early Wednesday, touting Republicans’ congressional wins while urging Democrats and the media over the losses.
“Democrats would do much better as a party if they got together with Republicans on Healthcare, Tax Cuts, Security. Obstruction doesn’t work!,” Trump composed on Twitter.
His online messaging comes after GOP hopeful Karen Handel vanquished her Democratic adversary Jon Ossoff on Tuesday in a very watched race in Georgia that was the costliest House challenge ever.
Handel won the seat emptied by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.
Prior, Trump tweeted his congrats to Handel and to Republican Ralph Norman, a former state lawmaker who beat first-time Democratic challenger Archie Parnell for a House situate in South Carolina.
That race filled the seat opened when Mick Mulvaney turned into the White House spending chief. Trump crowed about the triumphs.
He said, “Well, the Special Elections are over, and those that want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN are 5 and O! All the Fake News, all the money spent = 0,”.
